Job summary

Hello York by GuestHouse in York is seeking an experienced Bartender to join our boutique hotel bar team. You will mix, pour, and serve drinks with energy and elegance, creating a warm atmosphere for locals, visitors, and history lovers alike.

We value calmness under pressure, hospitality, and a passion for great drinks. This full-time role is 40 hours across 5 days, with perks and opportunities to contribute to a stylish, intimate hotel environment.

Do you know your way around a cocktail shaker better than most know their way around The Shambles? Can you mix a martini with precision, pour a pinot with pride, and serve every guest like theyve just stepped out of a Viking saga or a cathedral tour?

Here at No.1 York by GuestHouse, were a small but stylish, family-run boutique hotel, and wer looking for a Bartender who can bring energy, elegance, and excellent service to our bar team.

This is a full time role working 40 hours, 5 days out of 7.

What You'll Be Doing

• Mixing, pouring, and serving drinks with confidence and creativity
• Creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for guests - whether they're locals, tourists, or time-travelling Tudors
• Keeping the bar stocked, spotless, and running like clockwork
• Recommending drinks, sharing stories, and occasionally dazzling with your cocktail knowledge
• Supporting the Pearly Cow Restaurant Floor team during busy shifts
