Job summary

Sandstone Care Group is seeking a part-time Housekeeper for Telford Hall Care Home in Lawley. The role focuses on keeping our 66-bed care home clean, safe, and welcoming for residents, with shifts on a rota including weekends. The hourly rate is £12.77, with 16 hours per week and flexible start/end times.

You’ll contribute to a high-standard environment and support laundry duties as needed. We value enthusiastic, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in maintaining hygiene and a warm home

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and laundry, either professionally or domestically (care home experience is a bonus but not essential).
• Team players with strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness: areas of the home are clean, tidy, and presented to a high standard.
• Infection control: adhere to cleaning schedules and maintain hygiene standards to keep everyone safe.
• Laundry support: washing, drying, ironing, and distributing clothing and linens as needed.
• Team support: flexibly assisting across domestic and laundry duties as required.

Part-time Housekeeper. Telford Hall Care Home

• Salary: £12.77 per hour
• Hours: 16 per week
• Shifts: Working on a rota including alternative weekends (must have working availability across 7 days of the week). We can offer flexibility on shift start/end times.

As a Housekeeper, your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensuring all areas of the home are clean, tidy, and presented to a high standard.
• Infection Control: Adhering to cleaning schedules and maintaining hygiene standards to keep everyone safe.
• Laundry Support: Washing, drying, ironing, and distributing clothing and linens as needed.
• Team Support: Flexibly assisting across domestic and laundry duties as required.

*Overtime is paid for working over fulltime hours. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our 'Reward Me' app. Flexible pay is available via 'WAGESTREAM'.
