We are looking to recruit a full-time Housekeeper for Maternity Cover. The candidate will be required to ensure the safe keeping and smooth running of a private family's residence in Central London. The role is working under the Property Manager and with another Housekeeper.

The family does not live in the UK full-time, and when they are visiting, the Housekeeper should be flexible with working hours.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Property Manager to ensure the property is kept in top condition, clean, safe, and secure at all times.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills when liaising with the Property Manager, staff, VIP guests, and residents.
• Respond to family requests such as ordering taxis, running errands, and organising dry cleaning.
• Clean antiques, fine china, silverware, and other household items, including laundry, windows, floor treatments, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, upholstery, fabric, glass, leather, etc., with special attention to antiques.
• Maintain a cleaning schedule that includes deep cleaning of bathrooms and kitchens, preventing limescale buildup, and running taps regularly to keep water pipes fresh.
• Liaise with the Property Manager regarding maintenance issues and oversee contractors working on the property.
• Familiarise yourself with fire systems, alarm systems, AV systems, etc.
• Manage expenses for cleaning supplies and non-perishables within a budget.

When the family is in residence:

• Maintain all areas of the house, including turn-up & turndown services and the client's personal staff areas.
• Ensure laundry is done according to the client's preferences, using preferred products and separating client/staff laundry.
• Liaise with chefs and staff to ensure the house is fully stocked.
• Adhere to a dress code when the client is in residence.

Hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm when the family is not in residence (longer hours expected during visits).
Days: Monday - Friday (weekends needed during visits).
Salary: £35,000 GPA.
