Job summary

L&M Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join Kitwood House in Northwich. This 32-hours-per-week role focuses on laundry, housekeeping, and maintaining a clean, safe environment for residents.

You will sort and launder clothing, follow infection control procedures, and ensure linens, bedding and towels are fresh and well organised. The role requires reliability and attention to detail, with weekend shifts on occasion.

Qualifications

• Experience in domestic or care-sector housekeeping and laundry.
• Ability to follow infection control procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Sort and wash laundry; operate washer, dryer and iron.
• Keep linen separate and manage bedding, towels, and tea towels.
• Vacuum, mop, dust, and clean bathrooms and shared areas.
• Return laundered items to linen cupboard and name unmarked clothing.

Job description

L&M Healthcare provide expert care in a luxurious home-from-home environment. We specialise in personalised general nursing and dementia care that develops, sustains and, where possible, improves mental and motor skills. We are looking for a Housekeeper to assist with laundering and housekeeping duties at Kitwood House. Alternative weekend shifts will be required. Duties Include (but are not limited to):

• Sort washing into relevant groups, where applicable, and process it through the washer, dryer and iron.
• Keep clean and dirty linen separate within the laundry area.
• Follow infection control procedures at all times.

The following priorities apply:

• Bedding
• Towels
• Tea towels

Additional responsibilities include:

• Returning the Home's washing to the linen cupboard and kitchen.
• Ensuring any unmarked clothing is named and placed in the appropriate boxes after laundering.
• Vacuuming bedrooms and corridors.
• Mopping floors.
• Dusting and cleaning glass and mirrors.
• Cleaning bathrooms and toilets.
