Job summary

L&M Healthcare is seeking a Housekeeper for Whittle Hall Care Home to assist with laundering and housekeeping. The role requires weekend shifts and involves sorting, washing, ironing, and ensuring hygiene standards are met across resident areas.

You will keep laundry items organized, name unmarked clothing, and perform cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and bathroom cleaning. Training is provided and career development pathways exist.

• Keep clean and dirty linen separated in laundry area.
• Follow infection control procedures at all times.
• Priorities: Bedding, towels,Tea towels.
• Return washed items to linen cupboard and kitchen.
• Name unmarked clothing and place in correct boxes after laundering.
• Vacuum bedrooms and corridors.
• Mop floors.
• Dust and clean glass and mirrors.
• Clean bathrooms and toilets.

L&M Healthcare provide expert care in a luxurious home-from-home environment. We specialise in personalised general nursing and dementia care that develops, sustains and, where possible, improves mental and motor skills. We are looking for a Housekeeper to assist with laundering and housekeeping duties at Whittle Hall Care Home. Alternative weekend shifts will be required. Duties Include (but are not limited to):

• Sort washing into relevant groups, where applicable, and process it through the washer, dryer and iron.
• Keep clean and dirty linen separate within the laundry area.
• Follow infection control procedures at all times.

The following priorities apply:

• Bedding
• Towels
• Tea towels

Additional responsibilities include:

• Returning the Home’s washing to the linen cupboard and kitchen.
• Ensuring any unmarked clothing is named and placed in the appropriate boxes after laundering.
• Vacuuming bedrooms and corridors.
• Mopping floors.
• Dusting and cleaning glass and mirrors.
• Cleaning bathrooms and toilets.
