Abbeyfield Living Society in Blackpool is seeking a Housekeeper and Cook to prepare wholesome meals for up to nine residents and provide a friendly, supportive presence. The role emphasises resident wellbeing within a warm, community-focused environment.

Working 24 hours per week on a permanent part-time basis, you will be paid £13.61 per hour and rotate shifts from 8:30am to 5:30pm in a two-week cycle. Training for Outlook/Excel is provided where needed.

We are looking for a Housekeeper and Cook to join the team at Harrowside House.

Role: Housekeeper and Cook
Location: Harrowside House, 114-116 Harrowside, Blackpool, FY4 1LR
Hourly Rate: £13.61
Contract: 24 Hours Permanent part time
Rota: 08.30am - 17.30pm week 1 Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday. Week 2 Thursday Friday.

You can never underestimate the power a friendly face and a home cooked meal has on someone’s day. The role of Housekeeper and Cook is varied, with resident wellbeing at the forefront of what we do.

What We’re Looking For as a Housekeeper and Cook:

• Confidence in cooking for up to 9 people plus
• Strong organizational skills, ready to handle a variety of tasks
• Excellent customer service skills with a genuine understanding of the needs of older people
• Basic computer skills (Outlook and Excel experience is a plus, but full training will be provided)
