Abbeyfield Living Society in Sherbourne, Dorset is hiring a Housekeeper and Cook for Abbeyfield House, Coldharbour. The role blends cooking for residents with light support duties, ensuring a warm, caring atmosphere.

Prepare wholesome meals, support wellbeing, and handle tasks with full training. DBS check and UK work eligibility are required; location is on-site with fixed rota.

We are looking for a Housekeeper and Cook to join the team at Sherbourne Coldharbour

Role: Housekeeper and Cook

Location: Abbeyfield House, Coldharbour, Sherbourne, Dorset, DT9 4HA

Hourly Rate: £13.61

Contract: Permanent

Rota: Week 1 Tuesday Wednesday / Week 2 Saturday Sunday 9am to 6pm

You can never underestimate the power a friendly face and a home cooked meal has on someone’s day. The role of Housekeeper and Cook is varied, with resident wellbeing at the forefront of what we do.

What We’re Looking For as a Housekeeper and Cook:

• Confidence in cooking for up to 9 people plus
• Strong organizational skills, ready to handle a variety of tasks
• Excellent customer service skills with a genuine understanding of the needs of older people
• Basic computer skills (Outlook and Excel experience is a plus, but full training will be provided)
