Job summary

Brendoncare is a not-for-profit care provider offering a range of services in the South of England. We are looking for a Housekeeper to join our care home in Otterbourne, Hampshire, to help maintain high standards of cleanliness and support a safe, comfortable living environment for residents.

The role is 34 hours per week at £12.85 per hour, with an additional 10% uplift for weekend shifts. Benefits include meals on shift, paid breaks, a free DBS check and free parking.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a domestic assistant/cleaner is required.
• Must have a flexible attitude to working.
• Reliable and caring disposition toward older people is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the home.
• Ensure safety and privacy of residents during cleaning duties.
• Keep adequate supplies of cleaning materials and store them safely.
• Report hazards and repair needs promptly.
• Adhere to COSHH and Health and Safety regulations and Brendoncare policies.

What is the role?

Brendoncare are looking for aHousekeeper to join our care home in Otterbourne, Hampshire.

The spacious site nearChandler's Ford in Hampshireoffers three interconnected services:

• Otterbourne Court:A care home providing personalised nursing and dementia care, as well as planned and emergency respite support.
• Otterbourne Mews:Dementia-friendly apartments for couples or individuals living with dementia.
• Otterbourne Club:A community hub where residents and local people can enjoy a range of facilities, activities and social opportunities.

Who are you?

We are seeking aHousekeeper who will need to have previous experience as a domestic assistant/cleaner outside of your own home. In addition, you will need to be able to demonstrate a flexible attitude to working, be reliable and have a caring disposition towards older people.

What will I be doing?

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the Home;
• Ensuring the safety and privacy of residents whilst performing cleaning duties;
• Keeping adequate supplies of cleaning materials and ensure they are stored safely;
• Reporting hazards and repair requirements;
• Adhering to COSHH and Health and Safety regulations and working within the Policies and Procedures of Brendoncare.
