Job summary

Care South in Weymouth is seeking a Housekeeper for Buxton House, a friendly residential and dementia care home near the Jurassic Coast. We offer flexible hours including full time, part time and bank shifts, and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care home is not essential.
• Desire to create a fresh, welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors.
• Flexible in hours and able to join a larger housekeeping team.

Responsibilities

• Keep the home clean, safe and comfortable for residents.
• Clean communal areas and residents' rooms.
• Assist the laundry team with washing, drying and ironing of residents' clothing.

Competitive pay rate of £12.85 per hour

We have an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeper to join the team at Buxton House our purpose-built, friendly, social, residential and dementia care home, located near the historic Jurassic Coast in Weymouth, Dorset.

What you will be doing:

• Ensuring our home is kept clean, safe and comfortable throughout for our residents
• Supporting with the cleaning of communal areas and residents own rooms
• Provide some support to the laundry team to include washing, drying and ironing of residents clothing

Who are we looking for:

Previous experience within a care home setting is not essential - but we want you to come in and enjoy housekeeping!

A real desire to create a fresh and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors to enjoy.

Flexible in the hours that you work and happy to join in as part of a larger housekeeping team.
