Colville Search is seeking an experienced and discreet live-out Housekeeper/House Manager to manage day-to-day upkeep and presentation of a private UHNW residence in the New Forest, Hampshire. The role requires a strong eye for detail, professionalism and the ability to maintain the highest standards.

Key responsibilities include daily cleaning, laundry, wardrobe management, linen care and coordination with other staff.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a housekeeper in a private household.
• Discretion and confidentiality are essential.
• Excellent knowledge of high-end cleaning methods and products.
• Able to work autonomously and take initiative.

Mansioni

• Daily cleaning and upkeep of all rooms, including deep cleaning on a regular schedule.
• Laundry care including delicate garments, ironing, steaming, and wardrobe management.
• Polishing silver, caring for fine furnishings and artwork.
• Monitor household supplies and restock as needed.
• Liaise with other household staff, contractors and service providers.
• Assist with occasional events or entertaining (set-up, service support).
• Ensure the home is guest-ready and maintained to impeccable standards.
• Occasional errands, deliveries and household shopping.

Overview

An UHNW family based in the New Forest is seeking an experienced and discreet live-out Housekeeper to manage the day-to-day upkeep and presentation of their private residence. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role within a private household, demonstrating a strong eye for detail, professionalism, and the ability to maintain the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning and upkeep of all rooms, including deep cleaning on a regular schedule
• Laundry care including delicate garments, ironing, steaming, and wardrobe management
• Polishing silver, caring for fine furnishings and artwork
• Monitoring household supplies and restocking as needed
• Liaising with other household staff, contractors, and service providers
• Assisting with occasional events or entertaining (e.g., set-up, service support)
• Ensuring the home is always guest-ready and maintained to impeccable standards
• Occasional errands, deliveries, and household shopping

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a housekeeper in a private household
• Proven discretion and trustworthiness – confidentiality is essential
• Excellent knowledge of high-end cleaning methods and products
• Able to work autonomously and take initiative
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Good communication skills and fluent English
• Valid UK work permit and clean DBS check
• Full UK driving licence preferred (due to rural location)

Working Hours

Typically Thursday - Monday, 40–45 hours per week. Flexibility will be required for special events or family travel.
