Job summary

Progress Housing Group’s Progress Living division is seeking a part-time cleaning assistant to help maintain safe, welcoming accommodation in Lincoln. The role is based on site in hospital grounds with daily tasks that support residents and staff, following Health and Safety and COSHH guidelines.

You will perform daily cleaning, tidy communal areas, respond politely to occupants, wear protective equipment, and work independently or as part of a friendly team to deliver stable, long-term housing

Qualifications

• Must be motivated and reliable with pride in work quality.
• Positive and proactive attitude, able to work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Based in Lincoln, you will keep our accommodation clean, safe and welcoming for occupants.
• Carry out daily cleaning tasks and ensure work is completed per Health and Safety and COSHH guidelines.
• Clean rooms and communal areas, change curtains, clean beds and shampoo carpets as needed.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and wear appropriate protective gear.
• Interact with occupants in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Work independently or as part of the Progress Living team to provide stable accommodation.

The role

• Based in the Hospital grounds with excellent transport links, you will play an important part in keeping our accommodation clean, safe and welcoming for everyone who stays with us.
• You will carry out a range of daily cleaning tasks, making sure all work is completed on time and in line with Health and Safety and COSHH guidelines.
• Your work will include planned and occasional tasks such as cleaning rooms and communal areas, changing curtains, cleaning beds and shampooing carpets.
• You will use cleaning equipment safely, including powered equipment where required, and always wear the appropriate protective equipment provided.
• As someone who regularly interacts with occupants, you will respond to questions and requests in a friendly and helpful way, showing a positive, can-do attitude.
