Job summary

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) is seeking a Housekeeper to support the Women’s Health ward. You will help create a safe, welcoming and well‑organised environment for women, babies and families and assist with ward supplies and meal service in a busy healthcare setting.

You will work with nursing and support teams to maintain infection control, cleanliness and high standards of patient experience, contributing to a consistently excellent care environment.

You will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team, helping to ensure the ward runs smoothly by supporting patient experience, maintaining stock supplies, promoting cleanliness and coordinating with support services. As a Housekeeper, you will be a valued member of the ward team, helping to ensure a positive experience for patients, families and staff through the delivery of high‑quality non‑clinical support services. You will take responsibility for coordinating ward supplies and maintaining stock levels, ensuring clinical and non‑clinical areas remain organised, safe and operationally ready. You will work closely with colleagues across nursing, midwifery and support services to help maintain a clean, welcoming and well‑maintained environment, supporting infection prevention standards and the efficient running of the ward. The role requires excellent organisational and communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to prioritise workload and a proactive approach to problem‑solving. You will also support meal service provision, monitor environmental standards, elevate maintenance concerns and contribute to continuous service improvement.
