Job summary

Colby River Group is looking for a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, welcoming environment at Granary Quay, Glasgow. You will perform apartment and end-of-tenancy cleans, support residents and work as part of the site team.

With a focus on high standards and attention to detail, you will follow cleaning schedules, health and safety procedures, and ensure a professional, respectful approach around residents and visitors.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in residential, hospitality or student accommodation.
• Experience of working in an occupied building.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment and safe working practices.
• Awareness of COSHH and general health and safety requirements.
• Reliable and punctual with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks to deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible rota: five days across seven, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across communal areas and shared spaces.
• Clean and sanitise floors, surfaces, washrooms and other areas.
• Carry out full apartment and end-of-tenancy cleans to a high standard.
• Complete scheduled and ad-hoc cleaning tasks within required timescales.
• Ensure entrances, corridors and high-traffic areas remain clean and welcoming.
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely, following health and safety procedures including COSHH.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report stock, hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Collaborate with the site team and interact professionally with residents and visitors.

About the Role

As Housekeeper, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, welcoming and well-presented environment for our residents, visitors and colleagues at Granary Quay, Glasgow. You will be responsible for completing regular cleaning duties across the development, including apartment and end-of-tenancy cleans, ensuring all allocated areas are maintained to a consistently high standard.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and can manage their responsibilities effectively while working as part of the wider site team.

What you will do

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across communal areas, facilities and shared spaces
• Clean and sanitise floors, surfaces, washrooms and other allocated areas
• Carry out full apartment and end-of-tenancy cleans to a high standard
• Complete scheduled and additional cleaning tasks efficiently and within required timescales
• Ensure entrances, corridors and high-traffic areas remain clean, tidy and welcoming
• Dispose of waste safely and appropriately
• Use and store cleaning products and equipment safely, following all health and safety procedures, including COSHH guidance
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report stock requirements, hazards, damage or maintenance concerns
• Work collaboratively with the site team and remain friendly and professional around residents, visitors and contractors
