Job summary

Darwin Escapes operates holiday destinations across the United Kingdom, offering guest-focused hospitality. Tilford Woods is a park within the group, seeking an Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and readiness of lodges for guest arrivals.

You will work as part of a friendly team, following cleaning checklists and standards, while ensuring a fast-paced environment meets guest expectations. Weekend shifts and driving may be required.

• Able to work weekends and bank holidays
• Driving license

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare lodges and accommodation units to company standards for guest arrivals.
• Change bed linen and make beds neatly.
• Thoroughly clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas.
• Vacuum, dust, mop floors and wipe down surfaces.
• Ensure each unit is presented to a high standard before check-in.
• Make guests feel welcome and keep communal areas clean.

Job description

This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and enjoys working as part of a team. You will help prepare our holiday accommodation to ensure every guest arrives to a clean, spotless and welcoming lodge.,

• Clean and prepare lodges and other accommodation units to company standards for guest arrivals.
• Change bed linen and make beds neatly.
• Thoroughly clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas.
• Vacuum, dust, mop floors and wipe down all surfaces.
• Ensure each accommodation unit is presented to a high standard before check-in.

Guest Experience

• Make sure all accommodation feels clean, welcoming and presentable for guests.
• Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to management.
• Maintain cleanliness in communal areas when required.
• Help ensure guests receive a positive first impression when arriving at their accommodation.

Team Support

• Work collaboratively with other housekeeping team members, particularly during busy changeover days.
• Support supervisors in preparing accommodation efficiently within allocated timeframes.
• Follow company cleaning checklists, procedures and standards consistently.
• Maintain a positive and helpful approach when working as part of the wider park team.

Health & Safety

• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and as instructed.
• Store cleaning materials safely and appropriately.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Report any hazards, accidents or incidents promptly to management.
