Job summary

Caring Homes is seeking a Housekeeper at Whittington House in Cheltenham to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents and colleagues. The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with 10-hour shifts and a permanent contract, paying £12.71 per hour.

You will join a caring team committed to high standards of cleanliness and resident wellbeing, with opportunities for training and professional development within the social care sector.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in healthcare or residential care.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all areas of the home are clean, tidy, and well-maintained to create a comfortable environment for residents and staff.
• Follow cleaning schedules and protocols to meet health and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure the home meets all regulatory requirements.
• Build positive relationships with residents and staff, contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
