Job summary

Cornwallis Care Services Ltd in Callington, United Kingdom is looking for a friendly Housekeeper to join our domestic team. You will create a warm, clean and hygienic home for residents, and support with laundry while engaging warmly with residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures.
• Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, sinks, and countertops.
• Making beds and changing linens.
• Using cleaning tools such as vacuums, mops, and cloths effectively.
• Keeping bathrooms stocked with toiletries and fresh towels.
• Cleaning mirrors, glass surfaces, and communal areas.
• Tidying and refreshing residents’ rooms.
• Monitoring and ordering cleaning supplies as required.
• Reporting repairs or maintenance issues promptly.
• Assisting in laundry duties and ensuring cleanliness throughout the home.
• Interacting positively with residents — joining conversations, offering a smile, and contributing to their sense of home.

Job Purpose

Requirements

• Experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred, but not essential
• Willingness to work in bothcleaning and laundryareas of the home

• £12.80 per hour
• £25.60 per hour (Bank Holidays)
