The U.S. Mission in the United Kingdom is looking for a reliable, organised, and service-focused Housekeeper to join our team at the U.S. Embassy Annex at RAF Croughton.
This is an opportunity to do more than housekeeping. You'll help create a positive first impression for Embassy employees and their families, ensuring that temporary accommodation is ready, welcoming, and equipped for those arriving at an important moment in their journey.
When someone arrives at a new location, the smallest details can make a big difference.
As part of our housing team, you'll help make that transition easier. You'll take pride in knowing that the work you do behind the scenes directly contributes to the experience of the people we support.
You’ll enjoy a role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll be trusted to work independently, solve problems, manage priorities, and use your initiative - while being part of a supportive team with an important mission.
You’ll also need at least two years’ experience in residential or commercial housekeeping as part of a team, together with a general understanding of housekeeping health and safety practices.
Your work will help keep our temporary accommodation and housing support services running smoothly. You’ll prepare accommodation for new arrivals, help ensure essential supplies are available, support the preparation of arrival and departure kits, and work with colleagues and contractors when needed.
But what really matters is the standard you bring to the role.
We’re looking for someone who notices the details, takes ownership, and understands that great service isn’t just about getting the job done - it’s about how you make people feel.
If you’re someone who takes pride in your work, enjoys helping others, and wants to be part of something bigger, we’d like to hear from you.
Working at the US Embassy, London means contributing to the vital relationship between our two nations. You’ll be part of a mission that values excellence and equal opportunity.
