Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Team Leader for Household Support and Advice based at Waverley Court. The role focuses on leading a team of Household Support Workers to deliver preventative housing support, family support and mediation within a No Wrong Door framework.

You will oversee staff development, drive integrated services to tackle poverty and homelessness, and ensure safeguarding and PVG checks are completed where required.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Housing Support Supervisor.
• SVQ level 4 (SCQF 8) in a relevant field or equivalent, or willingness to work towards the qualification.
• Knowledge of the National Care Standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Household Support Workers to deliver integrated Housing Support services.
• Contribute to prevention and early intervention approaches addressing poverty, homelessness and antisocial behaviour.
• Develop, deliver and improve services using a No Wrong Door approach.
• Support community engagement and restorative approaches to neighbour disputes and social inclusion.
