Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Senior Social Worker for the Social Care Direct Response Team based at Waverley Court, Edinburgh. The role handles fast-paced intake referrals across social work, occupational therapy and community care, performing assessments and risk management to support locality teams.

You will work within a multidisciplinary environment, undertake statutory duties for adults and carers, and contribute to safeguarding and prevention efforts.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker with registration and entitlement to practice.
• PVG scheme membership or update check required prior to appointment.

Responsibilities

• Undertake statutory tasks including assessments and support planning.
• Conduct risk assessments and risk management and Carers’ assessments.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team to support adults, families and carers.
• Provide advice, support, guidance and interventions to protect adults at risk.
