Job summary

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is recruiting for a role within our busy Hotel Services Team at Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda Hospital. The post supports the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering housekeeping and catering services to NHS Wales standards, with emphasis on communication and teamwork.

Successful candidates will work in a patient environment; previous experience is an asset. Flexibility to work across Health Board sites and to perform catering duties when required is

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of all areas of the Hospital in line with departmental schedules and National Standards.
• Catering duties may be required in response to service pressure.
• Adapt to service pressures and modernization as needed.
• Be flexible to move throughout all Health Board sites.
• Maintain confidentiality, courtesy and consideration to patients and colleagues.
• Welsh language ability is desirable; Welsh or English speakers are welcome to apply.

Job description

A job opportunity has arisen for successful candidates to join part of our busy Hotel Services Team on Sites at Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda Hospital.

The positions will support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering Housekeeping and Catering services to the National Standards for these services in NHS Wales, HIW standard 5 and 9 and Organisational Standards.

To assist in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery and team working practices; and helping to maintain open, effective communication.

The successful candidate will be required to work within a patient environment and previous experience would be an asset.

The main duties of the post include general cleaning of all areas of the Hospital in accordance with departmental schedules and specifications and in line with the National Standards of Cleanliness, alsoin the event of service pressure and according to the Job Description requirements of this role successful candidates may be required to perform catering duties.

Flexibility is essential and the successful candidates will be expected to adapt to service pressures and modernization.

The successful candidates would need to be flexible with regard to movement throughout all Health Board sites.

The successful candidate must observe and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, courtesy and consideration to all patients and fellow employees.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
