Job summary

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking Housekeeping staff to support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering high standards of cleanliness and patient care across NHS Wales. You will carry out housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintain a safe environment, and provide patient/customer service, attending required training to maintain competency.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or related role preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to follow infection control and health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out housekeeping, cleaning and related semi-skilled duties.
• Maintain a safe working environment and reporting hazards.
• Provide patient/customer service and assist staff as required.
• Attend staff meetings and required training to maintain competency.

Job description

The roles will support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering Housekeeping services to the National Standards for these services in NHS Wales, HIW standard 5 and 9 and Organisational Standards. To assist in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery and team working practices; and helping to maintain open, effective communication., Maintaining a high standard of environmental cleanliness

Carrying out housekeeping, cleaning and service associated semi-skilled duties, e.g. curtain changes, removal and cleaning of fixtures and fittings, linen.

Maintaining a safe working environment.

Provide a Patient/Customer service.

The post holder is required to attend all relevant staff meetings and training sessions as required by the Housekeeping Manager/supervisors to maintain personal competency and comply with Health Board or legislative requirements. In accordance with housekeeping policy and procedures, occupational health and health and safety procedures.
