Overview

Quarter is looking for a proactive and friendly Room Attendant / Cleaner to join our hotel housekeeping team at The Washington Guest House. This position offers 25 hours per week, usually worked over 5 shifts on a rota basis. Rotas are planned well in advance (over a 3-week period), with weekend availability essential. This role offers flexibility, with a lock up and leave approach to working. We provide training for those looking to progress, a friendly and welcoming team environment, and hours that can fit around existing commitments, whether that’s children, other jobs, study, or something else.

Salary details and role specifics are described below.

Salary Details
  • From £12 to £12.25 per hour
  • Top three room attendants will receive a bonus of £100, £50 and £25 respectively at the end of each month
  • Monthly pay on the 30th of each month (or nearest working day before if this falls on a weekend or Bank Holiday)
Details of the Hotel Room Attendant role
  • Based at The Washington Guest House in Clifton, Bristol
  • 25 hours per week (approx. 5 shifts per week)
  • Rota-based, to include weekends
  • Daily start time around 8.30am on weekdays and 9.30am on weekends; shifts finish by approx. 3pm
  • No zero-hours contracts
  • Fixed days would be possible for the right candidate
  • Rotas cover a 3-week period – great for planning ahead
  • Role can fit around childcare or other commitments
  • 28 days holiday per annum (including Bank Holidays)
  • Opportunities for progression to supervisor and Head Housekeeper after 3 and 6 months, with additional training at each stage

We are ideally looking for an immediate start; however, it’s more important that we find the right person. A good understanding of English is preferred.

What you’ll be doing as Hotel Room Attendant
  • Ensuring overall guest satisfaction and comfort by providing consistently clean and presentable hotel accommodation
  • Making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning surfaces and bathrooms
  • This role involves working independently the majority of the time, and in a small team occasionally
About our ideal Hotel Room Attendant

You're a hardworking and friendly team player with a strong initiative. Some cleaning or housekeeping experience would be beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided. With an excellent eye for detail, you will have the ability to work independently and unsupervised, and take great pride in your work.

The Interview Process
