Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton Bath is seeking a skilled Hotel Handyman to perform hands-on maintenance, repairs, and preventative tasks across the hotel. You will ensure guest areas and back-of-house facilities are well-kept, safe, and functional, coordinating with contractors when required.

The role focuses on both planned maintenance and reactive repairs, requiring organised work practices, clear communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance and property upkeep.
• Experience with planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical fixtures, carpentry, decorating and repairs.
• Strong health and safety awareness and compliance responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with schedules.
• Perform general repairs across the hotel in guest rooms and public areas.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests promptly and safely.
• Diagnose faults and determine repair solutions; escalate when needed.
• Maintain records and support maintenance schedules and improvements.
• Collaborate with departments to resolve issues and assist on larger projects.
