Job summary

Daish’s Holidays is recruiting a Maintenance Operative on a full‑time fixed term contract of 6 months to keep our hotels, facilities and grounds safe, clean and welcoming for guests and staff in Weymouth. You’ll perform a wide range of trades, inspect rooms, maintain outdoor areas, and support safety checks with practical, hands‑on skills.

We seek reliable, organised team players with experience in carpentry, painting, plumbing or electrics who can work independently or with others and follow

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance role.
• Skilled in carpentry, joinery, plumbing or electrics.
• Painting and decorating experience.
• Able to follow Health & Safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Keeping external areas clean and well maintained.
• Inspecting guest bedrooms and identifying maintenance work.
• Carrying out general carpentry, painting, decorating, plumbing and other tasks.
• Carrying out repairs safely and to a high standard.
• Reporting issues requiring specialist attention with Hotel Management.
• Completing reasonable maintenance tasks as requested.
