Job summary

Daish’s Holidays is seeking a practical, hands-on Maintenance Operative to keep our hotels, facilities and grounds safe, well maintained and welcoming for guests and team members. You’ll carry out maintenance tasks across carpentry, decorating, plumbing and other trades, plus health & safety checks.

The role includes weekend and bank holiday shifts with daytime hours; we offer all-year-round employment, staff and family holiday discounts, a £100 refer-a-friend bonus and birthday day off, plus

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance environment.
• Skilled in one or more practical trades such as carpentry, joinery, plumbing or electrics.
• Experience in painting and decorating.
• Confident carrying out general repairs and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Keeping external areas, including car parks, paths and roadways, clean, tidy and well maintained.
• Inspecting guest bedrooms and identifying any maintenance work that may be required.
• Carrying out general garden and grounds maintenance.
• Completing general carpentry, painting, decorating, plumbing and other maintenance tasks as required.
• Carrying out repairs and maintenance work safely and to a high standard.
• Ensuring all maintenance work is completed in line with company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
