Job summary

Novotel Nottingham Derby is a four-star hotel located in Long Eaton, between Nottingham and Derby. We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance team, oversee operations, and implement preventative maintenance programmes while driving sustainability and health & safety compliance.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and team development, ensuring high-quality guest

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Maintenance Manager or senior maintenance leadership role.
• Qualification in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of building systems incl. HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety.
• Experience leading maintenance teams, including rota planning and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage team rotas to ensure coverage across shifts and holidays.
• Oversee planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Ensure hotel plant and facilities operate safely and efficiently.
• Manage contractor relationships within budget and standards.
• Monitor costs and support budget planning.
• Drive sustainability and energy-efficiency initiatives.
