Job summary

Kew Green Hotels is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance across the property, ensuring safety, compliance and reliable operation. You will manage a team and contractors, set preventative maintenance programmes and drive continuous improvements.

Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will plan budgets, report on performance, and maintain records of equipment and compliance checks while delivering minimal disruption to guests.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Maintenance Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong technical knowledge across general maintenance disciplines.
• Solid understanding of health, safety and compliance regulations.
• Experience managing budgets, contractors and maintenance programmes.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the hotel is safe, functional and well maintained across all guest and back-of-house areas.
• Leading the maintenance team, providing clear direction, support and development.
• Planning and delivering preventative maintenance programmes and reactive repairs.
• Managing maintenance projects, repairs and refurbishments with minimal disruption to guests.
• Conducting regular inspections to ensure standards, safety and compliance requirements are met.
• Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety, Fire Life Safety and statutory regulations.
• Managing contractor relationships to ensure quality, cost control and compliance.
• Overseeing budgets, costs and maintenance activity to deliver value for money.
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activity, compliance checks and equipment performance.
