Job summary

RAD Hotel Group seeks a part-time Maintenance Assistant based mainly at Fairfield House Hotel. Responsibilities include general maintenance, grounds care, and assisting with everyday property upkeep to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Shifts run 8:00am–2:00pm with some weekends, and occasional travel to RAD locations across South Ayrshire is expected. A valid driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven maintenance experience across electrical, plumbing or carpentry fields.
• A valid driving licence is essential.
• Flexibility to work weekends and part-time shifts.
• Positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
• Good communication with colleagues and guests.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks (electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• Maintain hotel grounds: gardening, weeding, trimming, power washing.
• Assist with property upkeep to keep a safe, welcoming environment.
• Support operations with laundry, waste, and luggage transport.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, planned or reactive.
• Keep maintenance areas clean, organized and safe.
• Occasional travel to RAD Hotel Group locations in South Ayrshire.
