Job summary

The Duke of Cornwall Hotel in Plymouth is reopening and recruiting a Laundry & Housekeeping Team Member. You will manage hotel bedroom and restaurant linen, supporting the wider housekeeping team, with potential shifts to cover cleaning duties during busy periods.

We expect a good standard of cleanliness, the ability to work efficiently, and a flexible approach to duties as the team reopens the historic venue. The role offers a supportive environment and dining/meals on duty.

Qualifications

• Experience operating industrial washing machines, dryers or presses is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of laundry processes and fabric care.
• High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a wider housekeeping team.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold and iron bedroom sheets, pillowcases and towels.
• Launder and press restaurant table linen to a crisp finish.
• Safely operate laundry equipment and ensure stock is maintained.
• Inspect linen for stains/damage and record unusable items.
• Keep laundry area clean, organised and safe.
• Assist with cleaning guest bedrooms or public areas when needed.
