Job summary

Premier Inn Reading Winnersh is recruiting a Kitchen Team Leader to run the kitchen day to day, manage rotas, place orders and lead the team through busy services.

You’ll own food quality, hygiene and health & safety, working with the Hotel Manager to build skills for future kitchen leadership. This hands-on role offers a clear path toward Head Chef.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team in a busy restaurant.
• Ability to manage food orders and control stock.
• Knowledge of health, safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Own food ordering, stock control and manage costs for the hotel.
• Lead during service – organise the team, manage workflow and ensure smooth operation.
• Prepare, cook, and serve the menu to spec – from Premier Inn breakfasts to pub classics.
• Ensure the kitchen meets health, safety and hygiene standards; train and record keeping.
• Step up when needed – run shifts and mentor new team members.
• Develop kitchen management knowledge for career progression.

We're currently recruiting in our Reading Winnersh. Working 30 hours per week, paying up to £14.31 per hour.

Join our team at Premier Inn Reading Winnersh as a Kitchen Team Leader and move your Chef career forward. You’ll run the kitchen day to day – managing rotas, placing food orders, leading the team through busy services, and keeping everything audit-ready. Working closely with your Hotel Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the kitchen – from food quality to hygiene. It’s a hands‑on leadership role that’s perfect for anyone ready to build the skills to become a Head Chef.

PAY RATE:

Up to £ 14.31 per hour

30 hours per week
