Job summary

Whitbread is hiring a Kitchen Team Leader for Reading Winnersh. The role oversees day-to-day kitchen operations, including rotas, food orders, and leading a team through busy services. It offers hands-on leadership with opportunities to progress toward Head Chef as part of the UK’s leading hospitality group.

You’ll work 30 hours per week at Reading Winnersh, earning up to £14.31 per hour while developing leadership and kitchen management skills with Whitbread.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own food ordering, stock control and food cost management for the hotel.
• Lead the kitchen team during service, organise workflow and ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare, cook and serve menu items to spec, from breakfast to pub classics.
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene standards are maintained and records kept up to date.
• Step up to run shifts and help new team members settle in.
• Develop skills for future senior kitchen roles within Whitbread.

Kitchen Team Leader – Reading Winnersh – Premier Inn

Join our team at Premier Inn Reading Winnersh as a Kitchen Team Leader and move your Chef career forward. You’ll run the kitchen day to day – managing rotas, placing food orders, leading the team through busy services, and keeping everything audit-ready. Working closely with your Hotel Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the kitchen – from food quality to hygiene.
