Job summary

Whitbread Basildon (East Mayne) Premier Inn is hiring a Kitchen Team Leader to run the kitchen daily, manage rotas, place orders and lead the team through busy services. You’ll work closely with the Hotel Manager to ensure food quality, hygiene and audit readiness, with a clear path to Head Chef.

Position is 30 hours per week, paying up to £14.31 per hour, in Basildon. This hands-on leadership role offers career growth within the UK’s leading hospitality business.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team and managing rotas.
• Ability to place food orders and control stock.
• Maintaining health, safety and hygiene standards in a busy kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Own food ordering, stock control and keeping food costs on track for the entire hotel.
• Take the lead during service – organising the team, managing workflow, and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
• Prepare, cook, and serve our menu to spec – from Premier Inn breakfasts to pub classics.
• Make sure the kitchen always meets health, safety and hygiene standards – keeping the team trained and records up to date.
• Step up when needed – running shifts and helping new team members settle in.
• Learn the ins and outs of kitchen management to progress to more senior roles.

We’re currently recruiting in our Basildon (East Mayne) Premier Inn. Working 30 hours per week, paying up to £14.31 per hour.

Kitchen Team Leader – Basildon (East Mayne) Premier Inn

Join our team at Premier Inn Basildon (East Mayne) as a Kitchen Team Leader and move your Chef career forward.
