Whitbread's Premier Inn Oswestry is hiring a Kitchen Team Leader. Working 40 hours per week, you’ll manage rotas, place orders, lead busy services and keep the kitchen audit-ready under the Hotel Manager’s guidance.

This hands-on leadership role offers a clear path to senior roles, with training, apprenticeships and Whitbread benefits. You’ll ensure food quality, cost control and hygiene while developing your team in a busy hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading kitchen teams and managing shifts.
• Ability to manage food orders, stock, and costs.

• Able to train and onboard new team members.

Responsibilities

• Own food ordering, stock control and keeping food costs on track for the entire hotel.
• Take the lead during service – organising the team, managing workflow, and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
• Prepare, cook, and serve menu to spec – from Premier Inn breakfasts to pub classics.
• Make sure the kitchen meets health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Step up when needed – running shifts and helping new team members settle in.
• Learn kitchen management to progress to more senior roles.

We're currently recruiting in our Oswestry location. Working 40 hours per week, paying up to £13.06 per hour.

Kitchen Team Leader – Owestry – Premier Inn

Join our team at Premier Inn Oswestry as a Kitchen Team Leader and move your Chef career forward. You'll run the kitchen day to day – managing rotas, placing food orders, leading the team through busy services, and keeping everything audit-ready. Working closely with your Hotel Manager, you'll take full ownership of the kitchen – from food quality to hygiene. It's a hands‑on leadership role that’s perfect for anyone ready to build the skills to become a Head Chef.
