Job summary

Premier Inn Oswestry is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to run the kitchen daily, manage rotas, place orders and lead the team through busy services. You will work closely with the Hotel Manager, owning the kitchen from food quality to hygiene and setting the standard for audit-ready operations.

You’ll drive cost control, staff development and service flow, with a clear path toward Head Chef as you grow within the UK’s leading hospitality business, Whitbread.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team or section.
• Ability to manage rotas and orders.
• Strong focus on hygiene and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Own food ordering, stock control and keeping costs on track for the hotel.
• Take the lead during service, organise the team and manage workflow.
• Prepare, cook and serve menu items to spec, from breakfasts to pub classics.
• Ensure kitchen health, safety and hygiene standards are met and records are kept up to date.
• Lead shifts and support new team members as they settle in.
• Develop kitchen management knowledge to progress to more senior roles.

Kitchen Team Leader – Owestry – Premier Inn
