Whitbread in Bournemouth Westbourne Premier Inn is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to oversee the kitchen operations, lead a busy team and own the food ordering process. The role offers hands-on leadership and a clear path toward more senior kitchen roles within the UK’s leading hospitality business.

You will manage rotas, ensure audit-ready standards, and work closely with the Hotel Manager to maintain quality and hygiene across all services.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a kitchen and leading a team in a busy hospitality environment.
• Strong understanding of food quality, hygiene and safety standards.
• Ability to manage rotas and supplier orders.

Responsibilities

• Own food ordering and stock control for the kitchen.
• Lead during service, organise the team and manage workflow.
• Prepare, cook and serve menu items to spec, from breakfasts to pub classics.
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene standards are met and records kept.
• Step up to cover shifts and support new team members.
• Develop kitchen operations knowledge for progression to senior roles.

We're currently recruiting in our Bournemouth Westbourne Premier Inn. Working 40 hours per week, paying up to £14.31 per hour.

Kitchen Team Leader – Bournemouth Westbourne Premier Inn

Join our team at Bournemouth Westbourne Premier Inn as a Kitchen Team Leader and move your Chef career forward. You’ll run the kitchen day to day – managing rotas, placing food orders, leading the team through busy services, and keeping everything audit-ready. Working closely with your Hotel Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the kitchen – from food quality to hygiene. It’s a hands‑on leadership role that’s perfect for anyone ready to build the skills to become a Head Chef.

• Own food ordering, stock control and keeping food costs on track for the entire hotel
