Job summary

The Lighthouse Hotel Management is seeking a Kitchen Porter for Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh West, located on the Heriot-Watt University campus. You will support the kitchen function to deliver a seamless dining experience for every guest, while upholding food safety, hygiene and cross-contamination controls.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a similar role may be beneficial but on-the-job training will be provided.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• A drive to work as part of a team to exceed expectations and promote the hotel’s brand and services.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as the hotel operates 24/7.

Responsibilities

• Support the kitchen function in delivering high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Work with the food and beverage team to ensure a smooth kitchen operation and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic and compliant kitchen area following hotel policies and food safety guidance.
