Dakota Hotels in Newcastle is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support busy kitchen operations with washing, cleaning and basic prep tasks. The role includes maintaining cleanliness across the Back of House areas, managing waste and complying with safety guidelines to ensure a hygienic kitchen environment.

The successful candidate will have at least two years' relevant experience, be hardworking, reliable, and flexible with shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' experience in cleaning or cooking.
• Hard-working, able to work at pace.
• Reliable and dependable, able to work well alone.
• Health and safety or chemical handling training is beneficial but not required; training provided on start.
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude with pride in work.
• Flexible with shifts and able to accommodate business needs.
• Candidates should have researched the brand and want to be part of the team.

Responsabilités

• Wash pots, pans, crockery, glassware and cutlery throughout the day.
• Store and organize clean items for chefs' use.
• Clean Break Room daily and deep clean Kitchen twice daily.
• Keep Back of House areas clear and bins clean daily.
• Follow waste disposal and recycling procedures; maintain waste area.
• Observe health and safety guidelines for waste handling and manual handling.
• Maintain safe chemical handling knowledge for food prep areas.
