Job summary

Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre in the UK is seeking a motivated Housekeeping Assistant to maintain high cleanliness standards in guest rooms and public areas. You will join a professional housekeeping team, delivering excellent guest experiences and supporting deep cleaning tasks as needed.

Ideal candidates show pride in their work, attention to detail, reliability and a positive attitude, with prior housekeeping experience preferred but training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping within a busy hotel or similar environment preferred.
• Training will be provided to learn hotel standards and procedures.
• A positive attitude and commitment to guest satisfaction are essential.

Responsibilities

• Servicing allocated bedrooms daily and completing cleaning tasks as directed by Supervisors (Housekeeping).
• Maintain cleanliness across back-of-house and public areas to hotel standards at all times.
• Assist with deep cleaning, laundering duties (curtains, blinds, carpets, upholstery).
• Use and store cleaning materials safely in line with COSHH regulations.
• Keep corridors tidy and hazard-free during service periods.
• Report maintenance issues promptly and follow reporting procedures.
