Job summary
The Copthorne Hotel Manchester is seeking an experienced receptionist to warmly welcome guests and deliver helpful, efficient service. As a Casual Receptionist you will join a team at the Salford Quays location, supporting guest needs, handling cash, and promoting hotel promotions to maximise occupancy.
Applicants should have prior hotel experience, excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work under pressure.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a quality hotel
- Excellent communications skills
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to work weekends and flexible shifts
- Experience with Front Office systems e.g. Opera
Responsibilities
- Provide a friendly, efficient service to guests at all times
- Give accurate shift handovers and complete shift diaries and checklists
- Handle cash transactions and cash-related duties including safety deposits
- Promote on-site promotions to maximise occupancy and revenue
- Communicate hotel information to relevant departments to aid guest service
- Be familiar with Fire, Bomb, Health & Safety and emergency procedures
