Job summary

The Copthorne Hotel Manchester is seeking an experienced receptionist to warmly welcome guests and deliver helpful, efficient service. As a Casual Receptionist you will join a team at the Salford Quays location, supporting guest needs, handling cash, and promoting hotel promotions to maximise occupancy.

Applicants should have prior hotel experience, excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work under pressure.

• Experience with Front Office systems e.g. Opera

Responsibilities

• Provide a friendly, efficient service to guests at all times
• Give accurate shift handovers and complete shift diaries and checklists
• Handle cash transactions and cash-related duties including safety deposits
• Promote on-site promotions to maximise occupancy and revenue
• Communicate hotel information to relevant departments to aid guest service
• Be familiar with Fire, Bomb, Health & Safety and emergency procedures

The Copthorne Hotel Manchesteris seeking an experiencedReceptionistto provide a warm welcome, helpful and efficient service to guests

As a Casual Receptionist your key responsibilities include:

• Providing a friendly and efficient service to guests at all times ensuring company policy and procedures are complied with at all times
• Providing accurate shift handovers ensuring all items requiring attention are detailed in handover diary and the shift checklist is completed to required standard
• Carry out float checks and handle all cash transactions accurately throughout the shift including the issue/use of safety deposit boxes
• Being aware of special promotions operating in the hotel, ensuring they offered to maximise occupancy/revenue
• Ensuring all information is communicated to the relevant department in the interest of providing excellent customer service including being aware of specific daily functions/events, in order to deal with enquiries efficiently and effectively
• To be fully aware of and understand Fire, Bomb, Health and Safety and emergency procedures.
