Job summary

Holiday Inn Manchester City Centre is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to support the Financial Controller in the day-to-day financial operations of the hotel. You will supervise the Accounts Assistant and take ownership of the hotel payroll process.

In a busy hotel environment, you will ensure accurate records, strong controls, and timely reporting while developing the finance team and maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance or accounts role, ideally within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Experience with payroll processing and payroll procedures.
• Strong knowledge of financial controls, reconciliations, and month-end processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the Financial Controller with day-to-day financial management of the hotel.
• Ensure records, transactions, and reconciliations are accurate and up to date.
• Assist with month-end processes, reporting, and financial analysis.
• Supervise the Accounts Assistant and allocate finance tasks.
• Oversee the hotel's payroll processing and compliance with legislation.
