Qualifications

Stamford Bridge Hotel - Hotel Accountant

Stamford Bridge Hotel is seeking a Hotel Accountant to play a key role in managing the financial relationship between the Management Company Finance, the Hotel General Manager, and the Hotel Departments.

You will report to the Hotel General Manager (HGM) and support the Hotel General Manager and Management Company Finance team in all aspects of property accounting, ensuring timely and accurate submissions of information, and helping to uphold a high standard of internal control and compliance.

Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate purchase ledger activities with outsource providers and suppliers to resolve queries.
  2. Work with the Hotel Accounts Assistant to ensure all Accounts Receivable invoicing is issued promptly.
  3. Support reconciliation and receipt of accounts including cash, credit card, and BACS to the respective PMS system.
  4. Provide month-end deliverables to Finance stakeholders, including preparing and posting month-end journals, accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  5. Load monthly results into the Chelsea FC finance and reporting systems.
  6. Assist stakeholders in preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual results.
  7. Post and reconcile intercompany recharges.
  8. Monitor Capex spend against budgets.
  9. Assist with VAT liability calculations and audits.
  10. Ensure daily checks of night audit packs for discrepancies.
  11. Manage the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasts for the hotel, covering both Chelsea FC and Ascott systems.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within the hotel sector.
  • Completion or ongoing study towards an accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of hotel property management systems (desirable).
  • Proactive problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and prioritization abilities.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
