Job summary

Woodlands Care Home in Aberdeen is seeking a friendly Host to manage dining experiences for residents and visitors. You will oversee front-of-house hospitality, ensure a welcoming atmosphere, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and service.

Working closely with the kitchen and care teams, you will help organise mealtime settings, serve refreshments, and support daily routines to promote comfort and wellbeing for residents.

Our care home, nestled in the tranquil Craigiebuckler area of Aberdeen, offers distinguished care services tailored to a variety of needs, including Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Respite, and Palliative care. With a capacity for 81 residents, we provide a serene and supportive environment where personalized care meets exceptional living.

Host Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 33.25 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Host, you will play a key role in creating a warm, welcoming and well organised dining experience. This is a front facing role where your attention to detail and friendly approach will help ensure every mealtime feels enjoyable, relaxed and well managed.

You will oversee the day to day presentation and smooth running of dining areas, supporting residents and visitors while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and service. From preparing the dining environment to serving refreshments and supporting mealtimes, your role will contribute directly to comfort, routine and overall wellbeing.

Working closely with the kitchen and care teams, you will help create a positive and inclusive environment where individuals feel valued and supported.
