Job summary

Havencourt Care Home in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, part of Belsize Healthcare, is seeking a Domestic Assistant to help keep resident areas clean and safe. You will assist with room and communal area cleaning, and support laundry tasks, following infection control and safety procedures to maintain high hygiene standards.

We offer 22.5 hours per week at £12.71 per hour, with PVG paid, pension, uniform provided and 5.6 weeks annual leave for a full-time equivalent.

Qualifications

• A positive and reliable approach.
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial.
• Previous experience welcomed but not essential.

Havencourt Care Home is situated in the picturesque town of Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, on Scotland's beautiful northeast coast. We provide Residential, Nursing, and Dementia care for up to 42 residents.

Domestic Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 22.5 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Domestic Assistant, you will play an essential role in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment that supports wellbeing, dignity and comfort. This is a hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will have a direct impact on daily life.

You will be responsible for cleaning residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. You will also support laundry services, helping to ensure personal belongings are handled with care and returned correctly.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and cleaning procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in line with required standards. Your role will contribute to a well organised, respectful and comfortable environment for everyone.
