Job summary

Equans UK & Ireland in Birmingham is hiring an Assistant Commercial Manager to support a portfolio of hospital contracts on a permanent, full-time basis. The role blends on-site and home working, with some travel, and reports to the Commercial Manager.

You will drive risk and opportunity management, support WIP and debt recovery, manage commercial processes, and help improve contract financial performance, while developing to cover projects across MMUH and the retained estate.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience in FM sector preferred.
• Degree or diploma in Law, Business or related Built Environment field.
• Knowledge of UK Commercial law (Construction Act).
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Chartered institutional membership preferable.

Responsibilities

• Identify and drive risk and opportunities.
• Support WIP and debt recovery for rechargeable costs.
• Manage contract commercial processes.
• Improve financial performance of the contract through continuous improvement.
• Lead governance to ensure contract and internal standards compliance.
• Provide day-to-day commercial support to account management teams.
