Hospitality Supervisor

Location: Somerset

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Hours: 40 per week

A co-educational independent day and boarding school in Wellington, Somerset, serving pupils aged 3 to 18. Catering for 800 students and teachers, with 220 boarders. The role involves managing a range of hospitality services including breakfast, snacks, lunch, dinner, and boarding treats. This is a 52-week contract due to ongoing hospitality, conferencing, and event activities.

This is a 7-day operation with a working pattern of 5 days out of 7.

Work schedule: Set rota published in advance with flexibility required. No split-shifts, promoting a good work-life balance.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the hospitality operation
  • Attend regular event meetings
  • Support staffing and planning for internal & external events
  • Act as the main point of contact for client & school events
  • Support the team in maintaining high standards, serving customers, replenishing stocks, making hot drinks, and clearing down
Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced catering environment as a hospitality assistant or supervisor
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience in hospitality & events management
  • Team player with good organisation and attention to detail
Knowledge and Competencies
  • Good understanding and use of verbal English
  • Proficient in written English and reading skills
  • Experience in customer service or food preparation environment preferred
