Job summary

Compass Group UK in Sunbury-on-Thames is recruiting a Hospitality Sous Chef for our BP campus team. You will support the Head Chef in delivering a full hospitality offer, from canapés to formal dining, and lead a team to deliver excellent food for campus events.

The role involves preparing for 25-200 guest events, ensuring top quality food, and maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment. A strong focus on food safety and team development is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef in campus hospitality offering and events.
• Prepare and deliver hospitality events for 25-200 guests with high presentation standards.
• Lead by example and develop junior staff while maintaining culinary standards.
• Assist with production planning, ordering, and stock control.
• Ensure efficient kitchen operations and food safety compliance.

Location: TW15 7LN

Salary: £42,224 per annum

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, 7:00-15:30, 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Head Chef in delivering a comprehensive campus hospitality offer, from canapés and finger food to formal dining events.
• Prepare and deliver hospitality events for 25-200 guests, ensuring exceptional food quality and presentation.
• Utilise fine dining experience and strong attention to detail to exceed client expectations.
• Compile hospitality orders and assist with production planning and event coordination.
• Demonstrate excellent organisation and time management in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Support stock control, food safety compliance, and efficient kitchen operations.
• Lead by example, supporting and developing junior team members while maintaining high culinary standards.
