Job summary

Fairmont is seeking a Duty Security Officer to join our Security team. You will work closely with hotel managers to uphold safety and public relations, controlling access to Back of House areas, monitoring alarms, and assisting guests and staff.

The role requires 1–3 years in hospitality, a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence, and strong communication and organisational skills. Shift pattern is 4 days on, 4 days off, with day and night rotations.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience in the Hospitality Industry.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written & verbal.
• A confident & dynamic speaker, able to communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Proven organizational skills; able to set and meet deadlines with quality results.
• Applicable job related skills as per Accountable Duties.

Responsibilities

• Control access to Back of House areas, monitor alarms, and direct visitors and enquiries.
• Issue and receive keys, create new staff IDs and record times.
• Carry out patrols of Back of House and front of house areas to ensure doors are secure and fire exits clear.
• Monitor CCTV and report unusual activity; perform bag searches and log results.
• Liaise with supervisors regarding disabling fire alarms when steam cleaning is in progress.
• Ensure accidents/incidents are recorded and injures receive necessary treatment.
• Monitor fire, panic, and door alarm panels and maintain handovers at shift end.
