Job summary

The Irvine Company is seeking a Purchasing-related role in Newport, Wales. The position involves assisting with receiving, inventory control, and coordination with the Purchasing Manager to ensure accurate documentation and timely processing of orders.

Candidates should have hospitality purchasing experience, knowledge of Food & Beverage products, and the ability to lift heavy objects while maintaining safe, sanitary storages and a cooperative attitude with peers and supervisors.

Qualifications

• One year of purchasing experience in hospitality.
• Knowledge of Food & Beverage products such as meats, poultry, seafood, dry-goods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing receiving documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Follow-up on delivery shortages and processing proper documents.
• Assist Food & Beverage in maintaining food quality per written specs and quantities per orders.
• Maintain safe and sanitary conditions in storages and loading dock.
• Rotate stock and manage inventories.
• Retrieve materials and log them properly.
• Keep storeroom clean and orderly.
• Provide cross-functional service as needed.
