Assistant General Manager | Full Time
At Wagamama, we’re an eating house for the soul. With over 160 UK restaurants and growing, our purpose is to nourish the world from bowl to soul. Inspired by fast-paced Japanese ramen bars since 1992, Wagamama is a celebration of Asian food brought to life.
We’re looking for an Assistant General Manager to join us on our journey of true nourishment.
The role:
As an Assistant General Manager, you'll be an integral part of the restaurant leadership team, supporting the General Manager in leading the restaurant in the Wagamama way. You’ll embody our values and core leadership behaviors. You'll inspire and motivate your team to provide exceptional service and exceed expectations. You should have a passion for people, food, and hospitality, and be driven to make positive change.
Benefits include a competitive salary, £3000 bonus opportunity per year, an average of £140 tips per week*, access to Wagestream to access up to 30% of your earnings before payday, a dedicated 6-week training program, free Wagamama food allowance (£14-£25) on every shift, 50% discount at Wagamama, 30% off other TRG brands, internal progression opportunities, wellness programs, family-friendly policies, and financial wellbeing support.
What we look for:
The Wagamama way:
Kaizen, meaning ‘good change’, is our core philosophy. It influences everything we do—from our food to how we think and work. We are committed to championing change in our communities and caring for the planet.
We celebrate differences, value personality over perfection, and welcome everyone and their unique stories. We promise to support you and build trust and support within our team. We create safe spaces for real conversations with open hearts and minds.
All we ask is for you to bring your unique self to the table.
Be you, be Wagamama.
